Benefiting

Montgomery County First Responders Foundation

Providing immediate financial assistance, cancer and behavioral-health support, and scholarships for the first responders serving The Woodlands and all of Montgomery County.

The Mission

Support For Those Who Serve

The Montgomery County First Responders Foundation was created in 2017, after nine firefighters' homes were flooded during Hurricane Harvey. It became clear there was no resource to help members through disaster, and the Foundation was formed to make immediate funds available in times of need.

Today it provides financial assistance for line-of-duty death or injury, property loss from natural disaster or fire, major medical expenses, cancer support, behavioral health, and educational scholarships — for ALL first responders serving The Woodlands and throughout Montgomery County.

A registered 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN 82-3129014). All donations are tax-deductible. Proceeds from the Heroes & Legacy Golf Classic go directly toward this mission.

Where Your Support Goes

Real Impact, Locally

Financial Hardship Assistance

Immediate funds for first responders facing financial hardship — the need that led to the Foundation's creation after Hurricane Harvey.

Line-of-Duty Death & Injury

Direct financial support for responders and their families in the event of a line-of-duty death or injury.

Disaster & Fire Property Loss

Relief for members who suffer property loss due to natural disasters or fire.

Cancer Support

Assistance and advocacy for the rising number of responders diagnosed with cancer from on-the-job carcinogen exposure.

Behavioral Health & Suicide Prevention

A key priority — mental-health support and ending the stigma, because more responders are lost to suicide than to line-of-duty deaths.

Educational Scholarships

Scholarships for qualifying dependents and community members pursuing careers in law enforcement, fire, EMS, or dispatch.
